You’re invited to join my new course The Way of Meditation (for Highly Sensitive People).

Together we’ll explore & experience how spiritual practice enables those of us who feel deeply to alchemize our sensitivity into a source of strength, clarity & compassion. In addition, it puts us in touch with the level of our being that can meet the unique challenges that we’re facing today, and awakens our innate capacity to be a benevolent & healing presence in our families and communities.

Far from being a pathology, feelings & emotions, regardless of where they stem from, when integrated in mature ways, take us into a greater ability to read the book of Life more and more precisely.

Whether you’re new to meditation or more experienced, this course is an opportunity to establish, refresh or deepen a practice with a particular emphasis on the subtle & emotional body and benefit from the shared field that’s created when a group of like-hearted people come together.

I will only be teaching this course live once.

The sessions will include guided meditations, live process work, teaching, and opportunities for questions.

Video and audio recordings will be available for re-listening and for missed sessions, in addition to other resources on your member’s page.

This beautiful verse (#10) from the Tao Te Ching (translated by Stephen MItchell) will be our template:

Can you coax your mind from its wandering
and keep to the original oneness?
Can you let your body become
supple as a newborn child’s?
Can you cleanse your inner vision
until you see nothing but the light?
Can you love people and lead them
without imposing your will?
Can you deal with the most vital matters
by letting events take their course?
Can you step back from you own mind
and thus understand all things?

Underlying this ever-evolving approach to meditation is the fundamental recognition that in the midst of the moving and changing details of our lives there is an unlimited field of radiant consciousness that puts us in touch with our true nature and lights our way. There is a strong emphasis on the body, feeling- & energy- centered awareness so that the spiritual realizations translate into an enrichment of our everyday lives, and that of all beings.

The 4 pillars of a meditation practice are:

  • A regular personal practice:
    • A consistent commitment to turning inward for a period of time during our day to day life sets a tone of moment to moment presence and clarity.
  • Practicing in community:
    • Sitting in meditation with a group of spiritually inclined friends creates a potent container for insight and the liberation of stagnant energies.
  • Longer retreats:
    • Committing to prolonged periods of silence and inner awareness gives our being the time needed to deepen to new levels of understanding which fuels our evolution.
  • Access to a teacher:
    • Developing a relationship with a meditation or spiritual teacher smooths out the path, gives us a foundational sense of holding and allows us to explore our inquiries in the enhanced wisdom of a shared field.

Meditation isn’t a practice.
It’s a calling that rises from within,
seeps in from above
and fills us from below.
It becomes as essential as fresh air and sunshine.
The stillness practice simply opens the door and let’s us step outside.

When we’re consciously cleaning up our bodies and minds, not only do we hear our soul’s whisper more clearly, but we also begin to feel things even more acutely.

This course is for:

  • those who are coming out of a busy and stressful time and feel they have an emotional backlog that is weighing them down;
  • those who sense they are going through accelerated soul growth, which requires increased integration of energetic material;
  • those who have put out strong prayers for healing (physical, mental, emotional) and desire to be open to life’s response;
  • those who recognize that their journey has primarily been an emotional one and who want to trust themselves more deeply in order to harness the power of emotions;
  • those who are wishing for support in reverse engineering beliefs & patterns around difficult emotions;
  • those who sense they are feeling and integrating ancestral and collective energies.
  • those who are wanting to support others (family, clients, friends) in presencing challenging emotional states;
  • those wanting to learn, refresh or deepen their meditation practice.

Here is what we will explore in the course sessions:

Session 1 – May 7

Coax your mind from its wandering and keep to the original oneness.’

How we can relate to our mind in a way that allows it to relax into its true function of supporting the emotional body.

In this first session we will explore:

  • The nature of the mind and how it fuels challenging emotions.
  • The roots of recurrent emotional patterns.
  • Connecting to Presence as a powerful liberator of difficult energies.
  • Considering and benefiting from the realization that an awake life constantly liberates deeper & deeper energies & emotions, and learn how to work with the mind to cooperate with that process.

Session 2 – May 14

Let your body become supple as a newborn child’s.’

How we can allow the body and nervous system to let go of long-held tensions related to trauma and unintegrated energies.

In this second session, through practice & inquiry, we will explore :

  • Connecting to the earth as a source of deep rest.
  • Key qualities & attitudes with which to meet tension to release tension.
  • How to cooperate with the body’s innate way to relaxation.
  • Adjusting to increased sensitivity as we become more relaxed.

Session 3 – May 21

Cleanse your inner vision until you see nothing but the light.’

How we can clear the inner cloudiness that results from false beliefs and their associated emotions.

In this third session, through practice & inquiry, we will explore:

  • How to know when you’re not seeing clearly.
  • Meeting what is currently clouding your vision and experiencing a step by step approach to greater clarity.
  • Aligning with a more comprehensive way of knowing.
  • Living the question ‘Is It True’?

Session 4 – May 31

Love people and lead them without imposing your will.’

How we can find our way to peaceful & mutually beneficial actions without force or resistance.

In this fourth session, through practice & inquiry, we will explore:

  • Attuning to the subtle attempts at controlling the outside world and the related contraction and challenging feelings that are experienced.
  • Making a habit of shifting from me to we to learn the art of inhabiting the shared field.
  • Opening to the activation of energy patterns that arise within our closest relationships, and learning to stay related.
  • Transforming the emotions that we feel within relationship into evolution.

Session 5 – June 4

Deal with the most vital matters by letting events take their course.’

How we can ‘solve problems’ by slowing down and noticing how they are already finding their way.

In this fifth session, through practice & inquiry, we will explore:

  • Becoming familiar & more open to energies that arise in situations where growth or change is being asked for.
  • Learning to plug into relaxation pathways in the midst of conflict.
  • Broadening the lens of perspective to see the movement of life within any challenging emotional state.
  • Becoming the river.

Session 6 – June 18

Step back from you own mind and thus understand all things.’

How we can refer to other ways of knowing beyond the mind to allow life to take us into greater meaning & understanding.

In this sixth session, through practice & inquiry, we will explore:

  • Attuning to the understanding & guidance that is available when we engage with life from wholeness.
  • Developing a new relationship with emotions by meeting them from beyond the mind.
  • Becoming more comfortable with not knowing at the level of the mind to make way for deeper holistic knowing.
  • Learning to read the book of life and see more clearly how we can engage in helpful ways.

Each Session includes a guided practice where you apply the teachings to your current life as well as live process work so that the awakenings can be embodied in a personal & authentic way.
You will learn practices that can be incorporated into your daily living,
in addition to an approach to inner awareness tailored to the meeting of emotional material.
